Ah Kansas. The weather can never make up it's mind.
Yesterday all day it was sunny, a tad windy, but nice. Then just randomly it turned dark and decided to down poor upon all us poor college kids! Not cool weather. Just as quickly as it came, it went. Everything was back to sunny and cheerful. Then this morning I woke up to grey skies and more rain. :( Good time to stay inside, but not really how I'd like my weekend to be.

Green Lizards
This weekend I went to stay with my Aunt. We needed to make mints for my parents upcoming anniversary party and this weekend we both had time to, so we chose to get together. One day we were outside cleaning the grills (one exploded right beside me!) and my Aunts' friend noticed some lizards sitting out on top of the logs in her back yard so I ran and grabbed my camera and took some shots of them.

Moon!
Last night after coming home from a movie my mom and I decided to take pictures of the moon. It was full, bright and just perfect for pictures. This was my first time to attempt this so I was happy with the way that the pictures came out. My mom's came out better and you can check her's out at her blog.

New Blog!
Hey guys, sorry to disappear for those couple days but I ran home for the weekend and was trapped in with ice and snow! Anyways not the point. Our knitting/crafty group has gone official. We are becoming an official club in the eyes of our college! Our president Hannah is creating a blog for our group and as the Vice President (yay!) I felt I should promote it. Check it out! It is: The Crafters Guild

A Study In Purple
In high school I was always a big supporter of my teams (go Bulldogs!). I thought we were one of the best when it came to school pride. I was soooo wrong! I knew nothing of school pride until I came to college. I decided to take pictures of everything on my floor of my dorm that represented or supported the Wildcats just to show you how crazy it gets here. Hats, blankets, newspaper articles, purple hair brushes, laptops, and clothing. Purple Pride is everywhere up here, even places you would never think to look, like the sunglasses on a persons face or the nail polish on a girls fingernails.

Knitting Party
When you think knitting, you generally think old lady in a rocking char, right? Well think again. For some reason all the girls on my floor (including myself) have decided to create a new club. Knitting club. It all started with my friend Hannah. One day she just decided she wanted to learn to knit, I saw her and thought to myself, "Huh, I wonder if I can do that?". So of course I ran out and bout a Learn to Knit kit and it went from there. We both sat out in our dorm lobby and as people walked through they became intrigued by what we were doing. Finally our friends broke down and decided to learn. Here are some pictures of our works in progress, finished works and some of the girls.

Some skeins of yarn.
My first scarf.
Second scarf in progress!
Me with my yarn.
Karyn just starting to learn.
Just because you think of an old lady when you think knitting doesn't mean you shouldn't try it. It is fun, brings people together, and it is also a great stress reliever. Happy knitting!

Sunday Boredom
Happy Sunday! Sunday is is the last day of the weekend and known as a day of rest and relaxation; but in college terms that means it is the day to do homework. Luckily for me I have all of my homework finished and time to kill. I was browsing the internet when I decided to go to a great website to get in a few laughs, AntiDuckface. I decided to see if I could get some of my friends to make duck faces of their own and here is what I came up with.
Adam!
Devon!
Just try to keep in mind next time you're taking that super hot picture to put on Facebook and you start to push out your lips, this is what you will end up looking like, and you just may end up on AntiDuckface. :)
